Vir Das

Vir Das is an Indian comedian, actor, and musician who was born on May 31, 1979. Following a career in stand-up comedy, Das entered the Hindi film industry, appearing in minor parts in movies such as Delhi Belly (2011), Go Goa Gone (2013), and Badmaash Company (2010).[1] He gave a performance for Netflix’s Abroad Understanding special in 2017. Das has made appearances in almost 35 plays, more than 100 stand-up comedy performances, 18 motion pictures, 8 TV series, and 6 comedy specials. He has penned humorous essays for Tehelka, DNA, Femina, Maxim, and Exotica. He debuted on American television in 2019 with the Whiskey Cavalier television series. For the Netflix comedy special Vir Das: Landing, he was the recipient of the 2023 International Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series.
