Stephan Jolk’s emotionally intense techno, with its spiralling melodies and subtly developing layers, offers a healing experience. Stephan, a real global citizen, discovered his calling in music after going back to his hometown of Milan. He draws inspiration for his forceful, analog approach from the adventurous sounds of musicians like Moderat and Aphex Twin, as well as from a variety of cultural inspirations. Released in May 2020, his debut EP on Tale Of Us’ label Afterlife features the eagerly anticipated track “Analogy” and is a veritable testament to his penchant for the breathtakingly epic. It takes up a unique area in the vibrant techno scene, where the beats convey his talent for expansive, blissful soundscapes.
