With the Dark Woods EP, German artist Pretty Pink makes a warm comeback to her Deep Woods label. Every song will be made available as a standalone single, continuing the label head’s exceptional 2021, which has already seen her appear on Anjunabeats this year. The EP’s title track, a club-ready synth-fueled tune with resonant percussion and poignant chord solos, establishes the mood. For almost ten years, Pretty Pink has been a fixture of modern melodic deep house. The founder of Deep Woods first gained notoriety in 2013 when she edited Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” Since then, she has released music on some of the most prestigious labels in the industry, including as Sony, Warner, Anjunabeats, and Armada Music, to mention a few.
