Dj Nikhil Chinapa

Indian DJ, presenter, and festival curator Nikhil Chinapa is frequently recognized for having introduced electronic dance music (EDM) to India’s youth. He has been connected to MTV India since the late 1990s and has made appearances in a number of TV series, such as Splitsvilla and Roadies. He was a driving force behind the Sunburn Festival’s early music scene and helped to popularize DJing as a career. After Chinapa emerged victorious in the 1999 MTV VJ Hunt, his career as a television personality began. On that platform, he was the host of MTV Select, a program that featured bands and popular music from around the globe. He made his acting debut in the 2000 movie Snip!. Subsequently, he hosted programs such as Ayushmann Khurana’s India’s Got Talent 2.
