Divine

Born in Goa on October 2, 1990, Vivian Wilson Fernandes is an Indian rapper professionally referred to as Divine (all caps). Divine, who was reared in Andheri, Mumbai, began to become well-known in 2013 when his song “Yeh Mera Bombay” was released. With the release of “Mere Gully Mein” in 2019, he made his breakthrough alongside fellow Mumbai-based rapper Naezy. With his album Punya Paap (2020), which had earned the #1 place on Apple Music India, Divine became the first Indian rapper to be featured on a Spotify Times Square billboard in New York City on December 12, 2020. In 2022, he made his stage debut at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, becoming the first hip-hop artist from India to attend the ceremony.
